The Obama channel

October 1, 2008 – 11:15 pm

Apparently Obama has a channel on Dish Network that loops one of his two minute ads over and over:

Obama’s media buying strategy has been marked by a willingness to work the angles, and to try to pick up a few votes at the margins. The decision to go to everything from extensive radio buys to odd-hour infomercials reflects the fact that the campaign media buyers spend a lot of time thinking about how much persuasion any given dollar can buy, and given a very cheap format — late night cable channels that need filler, for instance — will settle for a thimblefull of persuasion.

One of the minions of perpetual outrage asks:

Reader Nicholas wants to know: “Where’s the McCain channel?”

Gee I dunno, since it’s a fucking info-merical maybe McCain could pony up some dough and do the same thing. Of course since Obama is challenging him in Indiana and N. Carolina, that might not be such a great maneuver.

The wingnuts amuse me.

  2. The simple answer to reader Nichola’s question about where is the McCain channel is, McCain was too slow to even think of the idea. Obama is using all the technology at his disposal including iPhone casts. McCain is just not as up to date on high tech ideas.

  3. The challenge is deciding which candidate is the lessor of two evils… either way, they are big dogs of their corrupt, donor driven organizations… but, do we really want to elect a motivational speaker as pres? maybe the repubs should have convinced Tony Robbins to run and we could see an overtime match… The media is electing our next president - is anyone in the universe not aware of this fact?
